I Read about the ancient Olympics on page 150. Find three things you didn't already know

won the firstever OWm race. The Games became ppular and from about 400 BCE they took five days

Women didn't take part the ancient Olympics but they had Nn women-mly GartES which About 40,000 spectators travelled to Olympia to watch the Games

Some walked for days; others came by seafrom places asfarawayas Spain, Italy and Egypt

On the final day of the Games there wasa big celebration for all the competitors
