Sharaf has a lot on his plate. The space mission will launch a space probe, which is the size of a small car, on a 60 million km journey to the red planet. Sarah Amiri, the head of the science team, says the aim of the Mars mission is to understand how the planet's evolved — from a planet that once had flowing water to the dry world it is today.
